When Andrew Miller decided to salvage his soul from Sydney’s corporate grind he didn’t realise he would be spending the next three years salvaging food – for Sydney-based not-for-profit, OzHarvest.
As a van driver and permanent member of OzHarvest’s logistics team Andrew has seen a side of Sydney that is often kept under wraps: one of hardship but one also of community involvement and social change.
“The best part is just seeing the smiles on people’s faces,” Andrew said.
In his spare time Andrew loves photographing Sydney’s contrasting city scapes and hitting the road on his beloved motorcycle.
When it comes to other people, Andrew finds calm, kind and understanding personalities the most attractive.
“I appreciate people who can accept others for what they are,” he said.
