The first market for the year will be held on Sunday, February 21 at heritage listed Woodstock Community Centre and its lush parklands, Burwood. Woodstock provides an oasis of handcrafted treasures and tranquility for shoppers of Sydney’s Inner West.
Conveniently located close to Burwood’s bustling town centre, the Artisans Market showcases designers and makers of unique, quality handmade homewares, fashion, accessories, children’s wear, art, ceramics, jewellery, curios and other specialty producers. Shoppers can fossick for those special, one-of-a-kind purchases, all in the relaxing and beautiful surroundings of this heritage gem. Two playgrounds for children and surrounding picnic areas create an inviting space for families and shoppers to take time out in between wandering the stalls. Food traders and coffee are also on site.
Woodstock was built as a home in 1871 by Edwin Thomas Penfold and changed hands numerous times before being acquired by Burwood Council. Based at 22 Church Street, this stunning site consists of the renovated, heritage-listed Woodstock Community Centre, spacious Woodstock Park and the newer addition of Fitzroy Hall. Entry to the Woodstock Artisans Market is free.
Disabled parking is available and Disabled access is provided at Woodstock Community Centre. The venue is approximately 10 minutes walk from Burwood Train Station.
