FREE Fun for all the Family.  Meet all the EDGE artists and help them make their art works. 

On Saturday 9th November at Camperdown Park will be overridden by Edge Newtown. There’ll be talks, workshops and open studios at Art Camp with 4 artists in residence.

2pm:Join Kassandra Bossell in making the “Sixth Mass Extinction”,  a stencil art guerilla pavement project created with community drawing attention the ongoing extinction of many Australian animals and a shared concern for loss of habitat and species. Converging on this shared theme, diverse locals and visitors can make their mark, sign the petition and bring a political edge to the art ritual. 

2pm – 5pm: Make a badge with Roomies Arts and Jeff McCann. Jump aboard the miniature train and bus pulley system artworks to exchange your brooch with another person as an act of kindness. Make, exchange and create conversation 

3pm: Perfect Match Street Art Community Celebrations (Cnr Australia St and Salsbury Rd) 

4pm: Meet Kate Taylor and Craig Bunker (Bunkwaa) on their guided tour of  the “Cars that Ate Spewtown”, a trail of giant illustrations celebrating the stories and personalities of Newtown’s famous 1990s Reclaim the Streets activist movements. Book into the free tour here
