The bustling food hall at Tramsheds will be converted into a fresh design market, playing host to this special event run by The Makers’ Nest. The bi-annual event features a diverse range of 50 artisans showcasing their latest works. There’ll be fashion, jewellery, homewares, art and much more, all delicate handmade pieces created with innovation and inspiration. The products are strictly Australian made and there’ll be something of interest to everyone. Young and old, these talented artisans range from contemporary aesthetics to vintage styles. Meet the makers and soak in the visual feast on display, and fill your bellies with scrumptious food from Tramsheds. Some of the artists and makers include Christina McLean from Trade the Mark, using clay, textiles and leather to create beautiful works of art, Sacha from Juno + Ace, a jewellery and homewares designer specialising in metal smithing techniques, Kitty Choy’s Marikit hand knitted jumpers and scarves, as well as Camilla and Christopher from design studio Eggpicnic. The options are endless, and whether you just want to look, or fill your home with these spectacular products, it’s sure to be an aesthetically-fulfilling day.
