How does it feel to be nominated as a finalist in the awards?
We are absolutely elated to be nominated as a finalist in the 2014 Inner West Small Business Awards. This award is testament to the high level of service we provide at Revamp Hair Design.  Over the 27 years in which Revamp has been providing its trademark service and professionalism we have had the honour of being involved in the Small Business Awards many times, and we look forward to hopefully being a successful finalist in this year’s competition

Do you have a message for the customers that voted for you?
To our loyal customers who voted for us and for our new clients our message to you cannot just be as simple as a ‘thank you’. We want to take this opportunity to tell you how incredibly grateful we are for your support, your patronage and for making Revamp the salon that we are. We also wish to guarantee to our clients that regardless of the outcome we pledge to continue to offer great service and optimum professionalism achieved by our ongoing training and education.

What sets Revamp apart from other salons?
Revamp prides itself on providing services by highly trained professional stylists in all aspects of hairdressing techniques; we are one of a handful of salons within Australia who have a trichologist on staff providing advice and treatment for any hair and scalp conditions. One thing that continues to set us apart from other salons since our establishment is that we don’t just provide a hairdressing service but an experience. We ensure that all clients and staff are welcomed into our ‘Revamp Family’.

What about the history of the salon?
Revamp has been located in Drummoyne for the past 27 years. Established in 1987, Revamp offered a different and fresher approach to hairdressing. The landscape and demographic of Drummoyne has changed since then and Revamp has changed also, but one thing that remains the same is our passion for the hairdressing industry. Each of Revamp’s seniors started their career with a passion for hair that still shines through each day.

What are the most popular trends in hair styling at the moment?
Keeping up with popular trends is crucial in our industry. Some of the latest hair styling trends we’ve noticed are: For short hair (both men and women), sharp lines with lots of textures and movement is in. For special events vintage waves are fashion forward. However, the upmost important trend is a healthy scalp, hair in fabulous condition and suitability to a client’s face and lifestyle.
