Premiering at this year’s Sydney Film Festival, That’s Not Me is a fresh new indie from Melbourne very much influenced by Girls and Bridesmaids. It stars Alice Foulcher as Polly, whose dreams of making it as an actor are shattered when her identical twin sister Amy lands the lead role in an HBO show. Mistaken for her famous sister at every turn, Polly decides to use Amy’s celebrity for her own advantage… with hilarious and disastrous consequences for them both. Anchored by Foulcher’s revelatory turn in dual roles, their endearing quarter-life-crisis comedy charts the highs and lows of catching the acting bug, explores the difficulties of sibling rivalry, and probes the hope and heartbreak that comes with following your passion. That’s Not Me is a feel-good comedy about the difference between failure and disappointment. Not everyone will make it. But is that such a bad thing? MA15+ from Sept 7 exclusively at Palace Cinemas

“Alice Foulcher may well be the comic talent of her age…This is sophisticated, popular stuff…so smart and finally not frightened to be a little sentimental as well.” Film Alert 101
