No matter how many times we rush by this impressive orchard on Leichhardt Street it never ceases to put a smile on our faces. A tiny balcony garden is the home of a beautiful array of succulents and colourful blossoms. A clever arrangement of umbrellas keeps the midday sun out and likely deflects some of the bad vibes coming off the rush hour traffic in the mornings. This resident’s garden takes urban greenery to a level as yet unseen in the Inner West; unfortunately we were unable to talk to the gardener as the verdant foliage completely hides any mode of access to their front door. Is the brick just a facade to a suburban forest?
