What’s on at the Ciao stage

The Ciao stage at Festa will be bringing you a range of cute and quirky entertainment all day, from dog parades to fashion shows and baristas battling it out over latte art.

Pet show
10.30am: Dog Parade
Bring your pooch along to the Ciao Magazine stage to strut their stuff! Whether they’re cute or not, let them have a moment in the spotlight. Take a walk down the catwalk with your best friend and show off their best outfit (and yours). It’s also a great chance to mingle with other dog lovers and make new dates for the dog park. The winner of the dog show will take home a hamper of Applaws goodies valued at over $100. Applaws pet food is natural grain-free dog food with real meat and the highest quality ingredients. This is a not to miss event for dog lovers, as the most beautiful and precious furry balls of fun of the Inner West come together for a morning to remember. Get ready to put your paws together and cheer on your friends.

The Coffee Corner

For the fifth year Ciao is proud to be showcasing the best coffee in the region. With roasters, baristas, trainers, makers and shakers, Stage 3’s coffee corner is the place to be scene.
11:00 — 11:30am: Euroespresso’s live roasting and coffee making demonstrations
Our cover stars are local Annandale business Euroespresso. Marcello Nadile, his wife Vera and four daughters have built a quality family business in Annandale, passionate about all things coffee. From roasting to machine care, cleaning, and perfecting the blend, Euroespresso’s international experience has been shared for the last three decades among locals and further afield, with customers coming from interstate to learn from Marcello.

“The secret to our success has been in helping our customers to also succeed,” says Vera. “Our family business has continued to offer a complete service and individual attention to the needs of our coffee customers for over 30 years by offering our own brand of freshly roasted coffee beans, Caffe Euroblend, and combining them with the amazing La Pavoni and Isomac coffee machines and various quality grinders including Anfim, for home, office and cafés.”
Since 1968, Euroespresso has watched their customers grow — some from single machine operators to restaurant chains. According to Vera, “This is a testament to our experience in helping customers to understand the relationship between coffee beans, the grind and coffee machines.”

Euroespresso are also active in the community. Having contributed to many local charities and worked with schools and the disadvantaged, it is a true family business with genuine customer service and excellence in product knowledge.

Euroespresso are at Festa again this year and will be handing out their famous chocolate covered coffee beans, teaching you how you can work a machine like a real barista and, above all, how to appreciate a beautiful cup of coffee.

2.30pm — 4.30pm: Latte Art Smackdown

Now in its third year, the Australian Specialty Coffee Association, with Grinders and Paul’s Milk, will bring together the Inner West’s best baristas to battle it out for the title of best latte artist in the region. Latte art has evolved into a competitive creative forum, as baristas always try to out-perform their last latte. Don’t miss the action (and the tension) as baristas bomb out under pressure or create a masterpiece. Winners receive cash and a load of other prizes.
