The event is a free concert held in Pioneers Memorial Park on 17 December. It is a non-denominational Christmas celebration with the whole community invited to bring a picnic and sing along. The event is presented by The Leichhardt Espresso Chorus and the Inner West Council. The concert has an orchestra, a children’s choir, an adults choir, a celebrity MC and presents traditional carols as well a newly created Australian carols. The concert attracts around 3,000 local people and goes from 7.30 till about 9pm.
