One of the most popular pubs in the inner west is back with a new look and a new vibe, Winsor Dobbin reports.
Rozelle pub iconThe Sackville has unveiled a new look.
After a full-scale renovation, The Sackville recently reopened its doors with a reimagined street bar, new outdoor seating along Darling Street, and refreshed spaces.
There is a brand-new Sports Bar, perhaps choose people watching on Darling Street with a spritz or two and some share plates.
“The Sackville has always been a cornerstone of Rozelle, a place where the community comes together for a drink, a chat, and a laugh,” says Elliot Solomon, CEO of owners Solotel.
“The renovation has given the pub new life, especially the front bar which now opens right out onto Darling Street.
“It feels brighter, welcoming, and perfectly in step with the neighbourhood. We have created a space that is designed for the changing face of Rozelle and Balmain – where people can pop in for a beer, catch the game, or settle in for an afternoon that rolls into the night with family and friends.
“It’s still the Sacky everyone loves, just with a fresh new energy and a cracking new menu.”
The redesigned main bar offers high tables, booths, and big street-facing windows while the interiors feature new furniture, lighting, and a layout designed to make the most of the venue’s prime corner position.
Outside, new tables spill onto Darling Street.
The Sackville’s new food menu has also had a refresh: from share-friendly snacks to lighter seasonal dishes, premium steaks from the grill and beloved pub classics.
Highlights include raw tuna ($22), burrata ($22) and a crispy eggplant parma ($25).
Tuesday is $30 Pasta & Wine night.
Behind the bar, over a dozen taps pour craft and classic brews, alongside a fresh cocktail list, with choices like Blackberry Royale ($21) and a frozen Pina Colada ($18).
Happy Hour deals include $7 mini martinis, $12 margaritas, and $3 oysters.
Fridays still kick off with the famous Darling Street Meats raffle and live acoustic music. Bottomless lunches run through to 3pm on weekends, before DJs take over playing until late on Saturdays. Sunday sessions feature $14 Bloody Marys and chilled afternoon acoustic sessions.
