Kids Market in Five Dock

My Kids Market is returning to Five Dock on Sunday 30 June where local families can buy, sell and upcycle quality pre loved baby and kids goods all under one roof.

The market will be filled with local stallholders upcycling their family’s gently used baby and kids goods their kids have outgrown instead of adding them to landfill and make some extra cash too! At the same time savvy shoppers will enjoy huge savings on all the popular brands when buying quality pre loved items at a fraction of the cost of buying new. Why pay retail prices on items when you can spend a fraction of the cost by shopping smart and help to reduce waste at the same time?

“My Kids Market NSW is all about sustainability as we see items such as clothing, toys, shoes, books and nursery items getting passed onto other families instead of being added to landfill” said Jennifer Harrison, Market Organiser “It makes perfect sense to buy pre loved items when our kids grow out of things so quickly” and “the items sold at the market are in as new condition with many items still in the original packaging”. “We have so many shoppers comment on the quality of the goods and the low prices and we even see stallholders giving away items for free towards the end of our events!”

My Kids Market is run by mums for mums and caters to all baby and kids needs from pregnancy and newborns to approximately 8 years of age. The Market is held indoors with an onsite café plus fun activities for the kids so it’s a great morning out for the whole family. The Market is predominantly CASH only with no ATM so shoppers are encouraged to come prepared with plenty of cash.

As well as helping the local families My Kids Market NSW has partnered with Share the Dignity and will be collecting donations of sanitary items that will be passed onto women in need.

There will be a donation box at the entrance point of the Five Dock Market and the team are asking all those who attend the markets as stall holders plus those who attend the markets as shoppers to bring along their donations.

“We are really passionate about supporting a charity that supports women. Our biggest shoppers are Mums or Mums to be so it is a perfect fit for us. Share the Dignity supports homeless women and those fleeing domestic violence by providing them with simple things that we take for granted such as sanitary items” said Harrison, “We are just so thrilled to give back to the community and have already collected over 1000 donations for the charity.” We hope that many families will come along to the Five Dock market to drop off all #sharethedignity donations and shop for some bargains.
