Make ‘Spaghetti’ pozible

Local couple, Peter Nizic and Shannon Wong-Nizic, have launched a Pozible crowdfunding campaign to help raise funds to make their dream of producing a short film titled Spaghetti come true. “We have an amazing crew ready to go but without the $8000 we hope to raise, this project is unlikely to see the light of day,” says Peter. Spaghetti, which tells the story of a spaghetti-loving 8-year-old boy named Eddie, is a quirky comedy inspired by the countless enthusiastic little boys Shannon has met as a teacher at Haberfield Public School.

If you like the sound of this project and want to see the film come to life, visit pozible.com/spaghetti and pledge what you can (pledges are only processed once the target has been raised).

On your bike

Enmore resident Oliver Cashman joined a cohort of cyclists as they kicked off the inaugural Variety Cycle on March 22nd – an event that will see Oliver clock more than 4,000 kilometres over 26 days in an effort to raise funds for the children’s charity Variety. More than just a bike ride, the Variety Cycle will touch the lives of children in remote areas, as riders visit hospitals and schools, while delivering much-needed equipment and resources to the towns along the way. Oliver turned his passion for cycling into a career two years ago, starting his own bicycle mechanic business, Omafiets Dutch Bicycles, and has volunteered himself as official mechanic for this 26-day adventure ride. People can still get involved by donating, sponsoring a rider, or joining the ride themselves.
