Gasoline Pony:

Located on Marrickville Road, the Gasoline Pony accommodates for those craving entertainment as well as some hearty refreshment. The space holds up to 100 people, utilising both the indoor setting and the cosy rear courtyard. Live music is guaranteed every Thursday and Sunday. For the more adventurous evening out consider popping by during their regular open mic nights or perhaps the bi-weekly Acca-Pony Community Choir!

Red Rattler

This events space is a community-run cooperative that will satisfy virtually every taste imaginable. Past events have included film nights, live music and theatre performances. This diverse and welcoming venue has given a new life to Marrickville’s industrial area and has evidently enriched the local community and its surrounds. An upcoming highlight at The Rat is the ‘Show Us Your Bush’ Wuthering Day, for all you diehard Kate Bush fans.

SNO Contemporary Art Projects

Opening in 2014, the SNO, or Sydney Non Objective Art Project, is a creative space dedicated to showcasing emerging local contemporary artists along with their international counterparts. The four exhibition spaces allow for performances and talks, as well as ongoing artist residency studios. The current exhibition, curated by Stephen Jones, can be viewed until the June 26th.

Vic On The Park

The Vic on the Park brings together excellent pub grub with an assortment of festivities and the venue is especially revered for its courtyard gigs. The dog-friendly, laidback setting has hosted a variety of events in the past including markets, open air cinema and live music.
