Rusty Rabbit Hops into Inner West

A popular Sydney café has expanded its operations into the inner west with The Rusty Rabbit opening the doors to its third location in Concord, Winsor Dobbin reports.

Founded by the Khoury brothers, The Rusty Rabbit first launched in Darlinghurst in 2014, followed by a second spot in St Leonards in 2021.

Now, they are bringing their brunch-with-bite to a brand new 100-square-metre space on the corner of Brays Road and Mortlake Street.

Expect a pastry-powered line-up including croissants, cannoli and Danishes.

The brunch menu will feature a fusion of Aussie brunch staples and Middle Eastern influences, rooted in the brothers’ Lebanese heritage.

So think Shawarma Tacos, lamb and eggs with labne and za’atar oil, sweet potato fritters, and the famiy’s signature pancakes.

The Concord venue will stay true to the Rusty Rabbit DNA – cheeky signage, warm industrial finishes, and a space designed for connection, with seating for 60, both inside and out (pet- and family-friendly).

“It feels like a homecoming,” says co-founder Josh Khoury. “Concord has the same bones and same feel as Darlinghurst did when we first stepped in 10 years ago. Only now, we have a decade of experience under our belt – so it’s a completely different ballgame.”

The Rusty Rabbit Concord is 58 Mortlake St, Concord, NSW 2137. Monday-Friday: 6.30am-3.30pm, Saturday – Sunday: 7am 3pm.
