This dark Danish comedy Small Town Killers follows two craftsman who are tired of their lifeless and sexless marriages. After a fight with their other halves, they drunkenly hire a Russian hitman to kill their wives, planning to live it up afterwards with their secret stash of cash. They badly underestimate their spouses (as husbands often do). Before they know it they are on a hitlist themselves, chased by hire killers and embarking on one very absurd journey. Danish stars Nicolas Bro, Ulirick Thomsen and Søren Malling are familiar faces from TV shows including The Bridge, Banshee, The Blacklist and Borgen. This quirky comedy offers unconventional humour and lots of awkward moments that prove hilarious in any language. MA15+ in cinemas (including Dendy Newtown) from Aug 31.
