Strathfield’s Redevelopment

Strathfield Golf Club will soon unveil a multi-million dollar redevelopment spanning acres.

The Club has been undergoing construction over the past few years, including work on a brand new clubhouse and a major redesign of the golf course.

The new layout was redesigned by internationally-acclaimed course architect Jim Wilcher from Golf by Design, and will play as a championship quality 5,900 meter Par 70. The transformation of the course will suit golfers of all abilities.

One new feature of the course includes ‘Cooks River’ which will run through the centre of the course, crossed on six occassions and coming into play on three additional holes.

In addition to the complete refresh of the 18-hole golf course, the clubhouse will also be expanded to a world-class events centre.

The centre will feature three event spaces for weddings, school formals, birthdays and corporate events, with capacity spanning from 80 people to 650 people. The spaces will be catered by Forte, an award-winning catering company.

Visitors on Father’s Day will be amongst the first to experience the Pavilions Eatery, a brand new bistro venue overlooking the Strathfield Golf Club and Cooks River. The Father’s Day event will also feature live acoustic music, face-painting and cocktails.

Strathfield Golf Club has served the local community for 120 years.
