Things we love – 249

The Pigeon Ground is G.O.N.E, which is sad news for lovers of vinyl, and pinched-in vintage dresses, who have enjoyed the Camperdown store over its decade-long run. This clever re-appropriation of their sign shows the aesthetic ingenuity the store has demonstrated over the years – doing “hipster” before it was even hip.

Previously, the store was the HQ of the “No Aircraft Noise” party, a 90’s phenomenon that certainly hasn’t enjoyed any resurgence in the 2000’s despite chokers being cool again. Before that, 102 Salisbury Road was an artfully understated newsagency. Ciao
