You may have seen this poster in the bathrooms at the Courthouse pub in Newtown or circulating social media – we at Ciao love the simple but strong message that the Courty is sending out. Going out is made radically less fun when you have to stave off unsolicited passes or gratuitous harassment, and the fear of seeming shrill or unreasonable when calling these things out discourages many women from doing so. A helping hand for a discreet exit-plan in such situations will always be welcome in our books. It instills a lot of confidence in us to know that this kind of intimidating behaviour is both being taken seriously, and seen as increasingly less acceptable. Here’s to the end of creepy behaviour on all fronts!
