Part of the popular Sunset Series, ‘Classics at Callan Park’  is held every two years in March. Set in the picturesque grounds of The Sydney College of the Arts, Callan Park Classics at Callan Park features sensational local performers such as members of The Metropolitan Orchestra and Leichhardt Espresso Chorus.

The Metropolitan Orchestra, under the baton of Founding Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Sarah-Grace Williams, is recognised as one of the country’s most versatile orchestras delivering accessible, first-class and vibrant concert experiences. The Ristretto Chamber Choir is made up of 20-24 invited members of the Leichhardt Espresso Chorus who enjoy a musical challenge and an extended repertoire. Under the Artistic Direction of Michelle Leonard, Ristretto performs in a variety of concerts and private events

Performed in the gorgeous sandstone setting of Sydney College of the Arts in Callan Park, sit back and enjoy the most beautiful classical music with stunning soloists as the sun sets on an Autumn evening.

Grab your family and friends, a picnic basket and rug for this FREE outdoor concert presented by the Inner West Council.

4:45pm – 5:15pm – Leichhardt Espresso Chorus – Ristretto Chamber Choir. Piano: Benjamin Burton

5:30pm – 6:15pm –  The Metropolitan Orchestra – Chamber Players.  Soloists: Andrew Doyle (Basset Clarinet), Svetlana Yaroslavskaya (Flute), Matthew Bubb (Oboe)

6:30pm – 7:00pm – The Metropolitan Orchestra – Chamber Players & Leichhardt Espresso Chorus – Ristretto Chamber Choir.  Conductor: Sarah-Grace Williams
