The Survivor Hub is a survivor-led charity that harnesses knowledge and lived experiences to support, inform and empower people impacted by sexual assault. The Survivor Hub hosts monthly in-person peer support groups called ‘MeetUps’ on Saturday mornings in Balmain. At MeetUps, survivors can connect with each other to ask questions, express concerns, vent, learn and heal. Most importantly, MeetUps are safe spaces and intended to assure survivors that they are not alone, and that the pain and trauma they experience in everyday life as a result of their sexual assault, is shared and there is a way forward.
