The Black Angels

I could not be more excited for this gig. The Black Angels’ presence and ability live is just unbeatable by anyone I have ever seen. To make things better, the supporting acts are the awesome Sydney-based bands the Laurels and Zeahorse. This is going to be an awesome night of psychedelic droning and shoegazing.

Friday 7th & Sunday 9th June

Yuki Kumagai, John Mackie, Tony Burkys

This three-piece jazz band makes me wish I knew more about jazz. With Yuki on vocals and keyboard, John on double-bass and Tony on guitar, this group presents a very classic style with plenty of solos and instrumental jamming. They are performing at the, perhaps overly hip, Well Co. Café and it’s free so why not?

Raise the Crazy

Raise the Crazy is real old school. They play classic rock n’ roll with a little blues twist to it and it’s not half bad really. This is a group of young guys from the Inner West just getting up on stage and having a good time and I can’t fault them for that. Combined with their audience interaction, these blokes put on quite a show.

The Annandale Hotel (which has been recently saved from extinction!), $10
