Looking for Leichhardt
Over the next few months the Leichhardt & Annandale Business Chamber is presenting the ‘Looking for Leichhardt Competition’ where locals are asked to find this image of Ludwig Leichhardt (pictured below – and hidden in plain view somewhere in Leichhardt or Annandale), take a ‘selfie’ photo of yourself with it and post it on the ‘Places to Discover’ Facebook page.
Entrants will go in the draw to win one of many cool prizes donated by local participating businesses. If you don’t have Facebook, you can still enter by sending your selfie with this handsome explorer to media@labc.or.au.
Award winning cakes
Locantro Fine Foods in Leichhardt was awarded a top gong during the Sydney Fine Food Show recently when they took home the Champion Cake Exhibit for their baked ricotta cheesecake. The talented pastry team led by Pino Locantro, also collected one gold, two silver and two bronze medals during the competition for various other delicious pastries.
