St Jerome’s Laneway festival

Music lovers rejoice, summer is upon us and that means festivals. There really is nothing that quite matches spending a day or two in the sun, hanging with your mates, maybe drinking some beer and listening to great music. And perhaps the best thing is that some of the greatest events to kick off this year are held right in our Inner West backyard. This weekend, the Inner West has the privilege of hosting St Jerome’s Laneway Festival at Sydney College of the Arts in Rozelle.

Laneway, which is already celebrating its tenth anniversary, is certainly not the most popular or well-known festival of the season but it has a devout following and, unlike some other festivals that could be mentioned, has completely sold out. Anyone looking for a late ticket purchase will have to head to eBay or Gumtree it seems but there are bound to be some floating around. Featuring many great acts from Australia and New Zealand (such as Lorde, Jagwar Ma and Unknown Mortal Orchestra) and plenty of awesome international performers too, it is no surprise that tickets ran out fast.
