This year the Mayor’s Christmas function will not be held with funds reallocated to local churches and community organisations to support those vulnerable members. Mayor of Burwood, John Faker said “I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Council staff, Churches, businesses, charity groups and community organisations in their continued commitment to support our local community.
We witnessed challenging times in 2020 with our community facing many financial and social difficulties.”
