Think a modernised The Velvet Underground and that’s what you get here; lead singer even sounds a bit like Lou Reed. Pretty soft, indie rock but with some really nice guitar riffs and Pixies-esque bass lines.

The Vanns
Pretty standard rock sounds that is totally listenable, probably sounds real nice and chunky when live, but it’s too reserved on their recordings. Simply can’t hear the bass and drums. Basic at best.

The Pop Group are post-punk pioneers (duh) that inspired plenty from Nick Cave to the Pixies, but despite forming in 1977, this will be their first trip to Australia. If you want to see this, you’re probably already aware of it.
